TRAPHAUS is disrupting fitness by fusing the raw energy of house music with its mission to reshape pilates as a Black-owned and Black-led studio, set against NYC’s vibrant Lower East Side.
As the first Black-owned studio in NYC to combine lifting and reformer Pilates, TRAPHAUS delivers a one-of-a-kind fitness experience. Our signature 50-minute switch-style workouts fuse low-impact Xformer techniques with hypertrophy training, all powered by the pulsating beats of trap and house music curated by world-class DJs. Just as house music built community on the dance floor, TRAPHAUS fosters strength, resilience, and connection in every session. Now, with two distinct studio spaces in the same building, members can choose how they move: on the reformer or on the mat.
We’ve expanded to the 3rd floor, introducing a dynamic, mat-based training space designed for those who want to diversify their workouts with movement, variety, and flow.
These sessions are all powered by our signature mixes of trap and house music (neo soul and R&B if we’re winding down), curated by world-class DJs. Just as house music built community on the dance floor, TRAPHAUS fosters strength, resilience, and connection in every workout session.

We’re taking classic Pilates foundations and turning the energy all the way up! This beat-driven format blends controlled movements, deep muscle activation, and the signature TRAPHAUS vibes. Expect precision, burn, and a flow that keeps you locked in and leveled up!

High-energy, beat-driven workout that blends intentional weight lifting with a strong focus on foundational core movements and nonstop TRAPHAUS vibes. Expect powerful compound lifts and controlled reps designed to build lean muscle, increase endurance, and sculpt your body from head to toe.
